Another year older and wiser too!!!

For Mom's birthday on Sunday we had the entire family over for cake and ice cream. We all had to get together to celebrate another year of mom being alive! :)
Aaron and Angie have been doing a missionary week with the young men and young women so they asked if they could drop Taytum and Holly off so they could go to the fireside with Alli. So they dropped the 2 girls off on their way to the fireside before everyone else go there for the cake and ice cream. They were both being pretty silly and making me laugh. Holly is such a goof ball and so funny she kept cracking me up. She was telling me corny jokes and corny riddles. She was just having a great time being silly. Taytum was has hyper as ever too. I finally got her to come over to see me and she started picking her nose and eating it! YUCK! She kept laughing and doing it more and more because she thought it was so funny. :)

She only stayed with me for a minute or two to eat her boogers and off she went. She was running all over the place jumping around and doing tricks. Aaron and Angie didn't nickname her "Wild" for nothing.

I got her to come over and I started tickling her and making her laugh. Holly and I kept tickling her and getting her more and more wound up. We are just crazy. She doesn't need sugar or candy to get all wound up - she can pretty much do it on her own.

My parents have a big bouncy ball and so Taytum kept getting the ball and sitting on it and she would bounce around. She had to hold onto something or the ball would go flying out from under her. She spent a good portion of the time playing on the bouncy ball.

The whole time Holly kept telling us her corny jokes and riddles. She was deep into thought trying to tell us a good one that we wouldn't know the answer too. She is such a goof ball. :)

After a little while Holly decided to get down and play with Taytum and the ball. Taytum didn't like sharing the ball so she kept climbing on top of Holly. They were just laughing and giggling. It's so much fun to have a sister to play with.

After awhile Alisa and her family showed up. Taytum was all excited to have them show up because that meant she had her buddy Matthew to play with. My dad bought a recliner chair that plugs in that can raise you in the chair. He bought this chair back when he had his shoulder surgery to make it easier for him to get up and down. Well the kids all love this chair and they fight over who gets to play with the controller to either lift you up or down from the chair. Taytum and Matthew were just hanging out playing in the recliner chair.

Not too much longer and Trent and his family showed up. The kids got even more and more excited to have more kids to play with. Cute little Sadie gets nervous and apprehensive when there are so many people. It took her a little while to warm up and get out of her shyness. She was just a talking once she got used to having everyone there and also having it be so loud. The thing with all of us getting together is that it gets SO loud - but we always have such a good time.

A little bit later Jeff and his family showed up and so the kids got even more excited. The cousins all have a fun time playing together. We were all just sitting around visiting while the kids were all playing with each other.

Sam was having a great time playing with the blocks and getting into things.

Josh had just woken up so he was a little ornery at first. He just wanted to sit with Grandpa and play with the blocks for a few minutes. I don't' know how many times I tried to get Josh to come over and sit with me. He couldn't be bothered - he just wanted to give me dirty looks. :)
After everyone got there we had our yummy cake and ice cream. Dad being the Mrs. Betty Homemaker, made us some Carrot cake. It was really rich, but really good. We all sat around and ate our yummy dessert and visited with each other.

After cake and ice cream we deiced to have mom open her birthday gifts. She got alot of fun things for her birthday. But most of all I think she enjoyed having us all around together. She loves to have her kids come over.

As soon as we got finished opening up the presents Aaron, Angie and Alli made it back over. They had a great time at the Missionary fireside and they are looking forward to the coming week of being missionaries. :) They even came over with their cute missionary badges that Angie made.
It's funny because when we all come to mom's house everyone will at one point or another end up in the kitchen looking for treats. Mom and dad always have all kinds of goodies to eat. The kids especially love to go in the kitchen and open the cupboard. They will open the cupboard and then usually come and get me and point out what they want. They come to me because I will give the kids all the treats and whatever they want. It was hilarious because my parents have some cheese balls that are open and then they had some cheese puff's that aren't opened yet. Taytum just had to have the cheese puffs and not the balls even though they are the same thing just different shapes. I think I give into them and spoil them all too much!! But that is why the all love me and I am the favorite! :)
It was fun to get all together and visit with one another. I guess it is a good things for birthdays, because it makes us all get together. We always seem to have a good time with each other. Thanks mom for having a birthday! :)
