Universal Studios

We had been telling my parents how we needed to go to California and spend a couple of days at Universal Studios. My parents said that they would love to go sometime. So one day I get an email from Jet blue showing that they had some killer prices on airfare. Michael and I decided why not! Lets do it. So we asked my dad if he would like to fly to California and go play at Universal for a couple of days. He didn't even hesitate, he was all for it and told me to book the flights.
I booked the flights for the first weekend of October and away we went to planning out our long weekend getaway to California. We decided that we really needed at least 2 days at Universal Studios because last year when we went we didn't even get to see it all because there was just so much to see and do. My dad found a 2 day pass to Universal Studios at Costco for $55.00 a piece. That is a slamming deal, so we decided to go that route. We also found online that they had a deal where you could pay $20.00 a person when you get to the park for a food pass. For $20.00 a person you could get an all you can eat pass and eat at any of the selected food stands all day long for as long and how many times as you wanted. We did this, but we found that deal to be not so good for us. We only ate the one time at lunch and it cost us more for the pass than what the meal would have cost. We think that if the park were open later and in season than the meal deal would be great because you could have dinner in there too. Hey at least we tried it out to see if it was worth while or not. Live and learn as we always say. :)
We spent the 2 full days at Universal and we got to see and do everything that we wanted - so it was great. We didn't feel rushed at all and we just took our time and enjoyed the time that we had. We looked at lots of the shops and went down all the walkways to make sure we saw the whole place. It is just so fun to go there and be in movie land!
We all had to get our picture taken at the Famous spots of Universal before heading home from our days of fun.
Mom and Dad in front of the Spinning Water Universal Studios sign. They are just so cute! Don't you just love the new speedy jazzie that dad has. He bought this new jazzie while we were down there. It is so nice - it folds down and can fit in the trunk of a car. It goes really, really fast too. It was nice having it because there is so much walking, I don't think dad's foot would have allowed him to do it all!

Michael and I...aren't we just cute?

Mom and dad right inside the park!

Michael and I! You can totally tell Michael was thrilled to have this picture taken. He was tired and ready to be done for the day!
