Americana

Not sure if I have mentioned lately that I have the most talented nieces ever! We spent our Friday date night watching Katelyn perform in her ballet recital at one of the local high schools. We assumed that this recital would be just like all the other ones we have seen in the past, but we were mistaken. This was not just your typical recital but a ballet production where they performed a story. The production was called Americana. They danced to patriotic songs and did a story about a 4th of July party. It was amazing! We figured oh this will be like an hour production or so.....but no it was like 2 hours long and it went by FAST! It was funny though, as we were sitting down in the audience before the production began we were talking to Courtney. Courtney is hilarious! She is always making me laugh. She was telling us that there was a boy dancer in this production and that boys SHOULD NOT be taking ballet! She told us that it is just awkward! Ha! Ha! It made my mom and I laugh. She says the funniest things.

After the production Katelyn came down and gave us all big hugs. Mom was right there in the front of the line to get a hug! Katelyn is just so lovable, she loves to give hugs and snuggle.

Katelyn is getting so big too! She gets prettier and prettier every day! Mom just loved Katelyn's outfit. She was asking Katelyn if she was going to wear her costume to church. Katelyn didn't hesitate to say no. We just love Katelyn! She did a fantastic job!!! Can't wait until the next production. GOOD JOB KATELYN!!!!
