Mothers Day Party!

It's always fun when we all get together. We decided to get together the day before Mother's day to celebrate. Everyone except Trent and his family were able to make it. We had a little get together and had dinner. We wanted to make it easy so we just had taco salad and 7 layer bean dip. It was really good and lots of fun.

Of course when we get together we have to play around and make a mess or get someone dirty. Ha Ha! Alisa was the lucky one as far as getting wet and dirty. We had gotten a bunch of water balloons and filled them with water. It was too cold to play Water balloon volleyball so the kids just played with the water balloons. It is much more fun to throw and break the balloons. The little ones were rolling the balloons down the slope in dad's backyard. Aaron missed this water balloon break, but it landed right in front of Alisa and broke shooting water and dirt up her leg. It was hilarious.

Taytum was rolling her balloon down the slope and it fell off the cement and so her daddy Aaron was showing her where the balloon landed without breaking. Taytum was just giggling watching the balloons roll and bounce down the slope. All the Little ones thought it was so funny.

Dad was having a good time playing with and holding Sam. I think Sam was just happy to be outside. He loves being outside. He was such a happy boy that night.

Here is Taytum and her mommy Angie - Taytum also loves to be outside. For some reason all the kids love being outside and being able to just play and get into things.

The kids were just giggling and laughing so hard. We went up to where the kids were at and they were just looking at the ground and pointing. They had found a potato bug and they thought it was so funny that if you touch it, it turns into a round ball. Josh and Taytum would get close to it and Holly would touch it and it would ball up. Josh and Taytum would squeal and laugh. It was the funniest game ever!

Aaron went over and picked up the potato bug and the kids just thought that was so funny. They thought it was funny, but also scary all at the same time. It was hilarious. It is always fun to hear them giggle and laugh. They always have a blast when they are together. Matthew calls the potato bugs "rollie pollies". He was having a good time too.

While the little kids were up enjoying themselves, the older kids and adults were down talking and enjoying themselves at the bottom of the yard. Dad, Jeff and Aaron were just having a good time visiting with one another. It was nice for dad to get outside and enjoy the weather with being cooped up in the house for so long because of his surgery on his foot.

Looks like Angie was having a good time entertaining the little ones. She is holding cute Sam and talking to Matthew, Josh and Taytum. Such cute kids!

Everyone is dishing up their plates to start eating the yummy food.

After dinner it started to get cold so we went inside to have yummy cheesecake. Taytum loves to be the center of attention. She is just so darn cute you can't help but just love her and laugh at the silly things she does.

Holly bug is such a briber. Ha ha! All the kids love Holly; she plays with them and gives them treats. Josh knows who to go to - he went to Holly to have her give him some cookies. Josh loves treats. Holly and Josh were hanging out in the kitchen eating cookies.

Taytum figured out what was going on in the kitchen, so she had to run in and join in on the treats. It was so cute to peek in on them in the kitchen. They were having a good time.

Alisa loves to play the game "remember when," when we all get together. She is always telling us some sort of funny story. We all love to laugh and talk when we get together. We all make each other laugh so hard most of the time.

Later on Josh was having Michael blow up balloons so that he could squeeze them and pop them. Josh was having a good time playing with his fun Uncle Michael. Just a bunch of big kids playing together! :)

Needless to say it was yet another successful family party! Looking forward to the next!!
