Christmas Eve day was spent hanging out with Shannan, Marj and the kids. Michael, David and David Evans spent the day working on projects around the house. They fixed the backyard fence that has been needing repaired for some time now. It was fun just hanging out visiting and watching the kid's play games on the WII.
Grandpa McCoy had planned a Christmas Eve dinner at his house around 5:30 PM or whenever people showed up. Grandpa McCoy and Emilie were so generous they decorated the back patio with Christmas decorations and they had lots and lots of Pizza for everyone to eat for dinner. It was really good pizza I might add. :)
When Wes and Wanda showed up Wanda had brought some sparklers with her for the kids to play with. Before dinner began the kids were running around with sparklers and playing. It was so fun to watch them! They were so excited for the festivities to start.

While the kids were running around playing with sparklers alot of us were sitting around visiting with each other and catching up on lost time. I sat and talked with Rebecca and got know her a little better. It was just fun spending time with family and enjoying each other's company.

Michael caught us all with some really good picture faces. I was getting pretty cold at this point thinking I really should have brought a jacket. Cinnamon was like a leech, she wouldn't leave my side for anything.

It was fun visiting with Dustin and Kyle. I have never really known them before so it was fun to visit with them and to learn about them and their interests. We were standing over by Wes talking and boy talk about geekdom. You get Wes talking to Kyle and Michael about video games and watch out. You will be listening to them for HOURS! They got to talking about video games and finally had to leave that conversation because it was sooo boring.

Here we all are just eating pizza and hanging around.

It was fun visiting with Danielle too....she is so funny. She was making me laugh. She just has the funnest personality! I would bet she is one that is really fun to hang out with. Too bad we live so far away and we don't know them better than we do.

More visiting and eating pizza.

I sat and visited with Millie and Wanda. I learned about their jobs and what is happening with them and their families. They were both so excited for the gifts they had gotten each of their children. Talking to them you can just tell they love their families so much.

Grandpa McCoy kept checking on everyone to make sure they were all being taken care of and that they all had enough to eat. He is such a great host.

After dinner started to wind down Grandpa McCoy stood up to start the family tradition of reading about the birth of Christ. They passed around scriptures to everyone so that we could all follow along with the story of the birth of Christ. Grandpa McCoy would randomly call on people to read the scripture passages.
After reading about the birth of Christ from the scriptures, Grandpa pulled out his Twas the Night Before Christmas book. He had Dustin read the story and show the pictures to all of us. Dustin was feeling a little crazy, so he was cracking jokes throughout the story making all of us giggle and laugh. It was a good time.

Emilie also had a copy of the story and she was showing us all her pictures as well as Dustin read the story.

The boys in the corner were being a little disruptive through the night. We had to keep getting after them. It was just a fun night with everyone.

After reading the story Emilie and Grandpa McCoy brought out homemade brownies and ice cream for dessert. It was tasty! It was starting to get cold so we all went inside to where it was warm. From there all of the aunts and uncles exchanged gifts. We watched them open presents and visited a little bit longer. Michael was in the kitchen visiting with Les and Wes while the rest of us were in the living room watching the adults open gifts. Michael had to get a shot of Les and Wes because they look so much alike right now with Wes actually getting a haircut!

We both enjoyed just hanging out with the family and visiting. It was nice because everyone was in the same place at the same time so we didn't have to spend our time driving around and visiting everyone.
We had so much fun this year at Christmas time that we have decided that we are going to split the holidays now between Utah and Arizona. Every other year we will head to Arizona to spend Christmas with the family!
Thanks Grandpa and Emilie for a wonderful evening filled full of laughter and fun!!!
