Salsa, More Salsa, And Even More Salsa.....

We had an awesome weekend of spending time together. My mom went to Las Vegas with her sister for my cousin's wedding, while she was in Vegas we made Salsa!! On Friday night Michael and I went over to my dad's house and we made a batch of Chili Sauce. While we were making the Chili Sauce Alisa, Todd and the boys came down to visit. I ended up leaving around 10:30 because I had to work in the morning, Alisa helped my dad finish it up around midnight.
Then Saturday morning after I got off of work we went back to my dad's house and made Salsa ALL DAY long. Alisa, Jeff and Connie came over to help. We had a fun time laughing and joking around. We started the salsa around 8:30 am and finished it up at 1:00 am Sunday morning. WOW....it was a LONG day, but it sure was fun. We had lots of fun together. We need to get together more often like that.
We had to take a picture of the stove to show my mom what a mess we had while making the salsa. It was nasty, but we got it all cleaned up and looking new again! :)

While we were cleaning up Sam decided he wanted to play in the dishwasher. He was climbing in and having a good time. He is such a cutie! :)

After a long day of making salsa we had to take a picture of our achievements! We bottled qty 108 bottles of Salsa. It is way YUMMY!!

Funny story though, when Alisa came down she brought a bunch (like 10) tomatoes out of her garden and some hot peppers. They had these tiny little red peppers, they didn't know what kind of peppers they were. Michael took a bite of the pepper and immediately ran for a glass of milk and guzzled it down. Then he grabbed some bread to try and kill the heat. It was hilarious!! He was just a sweating. I guess it gave him acid butt really bad. He went to the BYU game and had to keep leaving. I guess its better to find out what kind of peppers you are eating before doing so! Ha! Ha! We had a great time and I am looking forward to the next fun get together! :)
