We always have enough to be happy if we are enjoying what we do have- and not worrying about what we don't have.

Labor Day Weekend adventures

Another Labor day has come and gone. My oh my where is the time going? We went camping to the land with my parents, Aaron, Alisa and there families. It was really nice to just relax and visit with one another. We took a bunch of games down to play, but the weather wouldn't permit it. It was way to windy. Every time we would pull the games out to play the wind would pick up and blow our cards all over. So since I couldn't play the games I decided to play on the slide with the kiddo's. I climbed the little latter up to the top of the slide. I got up there and I wasn't so sure I wanted to go down. From the top of the of the slide it is really, really steep. I was scared to go down. I was being a big chicken.

I started to get brave and sit down to go down the slide for my big adventure.

WHEEEEEE!!!! I finally got brave and went down the slide. It was fun, but it sure was bumpy. At the bottom of the slide your butt hits and it kinds flings you out. Ha! Ha! They were all laughing at me because I looked like such a dork going down the slide.

Taytum watched me go down and decided she wanted to slide down too. I took her up and away she went. She had this look of terror going down the slide and would laugh when she got to the bottom and then up she would want to go. We let her go down a few times. She loves to play on the slide.

So while all of us were out playing and having fun together, my mom was in the shed laying down reading her book. As you can tell she is really good at multi tasking. She can read and sleep all at the same time! :) I love how she frowns when she sleeps. She makes funny faces when she sleeps. We couldn't help but take advantage of the kodak moment.

There is a bridge that we like to go and sit under. The kids can play in the water that runs underneath it and we can sit to the sides and visit and watch the kids play. It is kinda nice because it is alot cooler under the bridge, so we like to go and cool off. Alli brought the hammocks down to sit in while we were down there too. Taytum was sitting in the hammock making people swing her back and forth. She was so content just sitting there swinging back and forth.

We finally got her out of the hammock and swinging back and forth. Then she saw Alli sitting in the other hammock eating chips. Taytum loves chips so she ran over to sit with Alli and eat chips. Funny thing though, once Taytum came over that meant no more chippies for Alli. There was all Taytums!

We played the candy bar game the last night with everyone and Taytum wanted the candy. We wouldn't let her have any more candy so she threw a tantrum. She threw herself down and gently laid her head down so she wouldn't hurt it, but she sat there like this for a good 5 minutes. We were all just a laughing.

We had alot of fun this camping trip. It was so nice to just relax. We have been on the go so much lately that it was nice to just sit and do nothing. We watched movies on the big screen at night and hung out during the day.
Although I did take Taytum for a ride on one of the ATV's(it was line of those little ones for little kids) Well we went on our way up a few hills and then all of a sudden the bike stopped and wouldn't go anymore. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to go. So I ended up having to push the ATV up the hills coast down them and then up the hills and down again. It was a long haul back and then come to find out when I do get it back the stupid chain fell off. Todd and Tye put the chain back on and it started right up. It was so mad. Nothing like having to push the ATV back in the heat wearing flip flops! :) Lesson learned.....NEVER ride alone.! :)
It was a fun, fun weekend!!!
