4th Of July Weekend!!

For the 4th of July this year we decided to go camping to the land. We were all hoping that this camping trip everyone would be able to come. Unfortunately that didn't work out as planned. Sadie got sick so Marci and Sadie weren't able to make it, but Trent and the 2 girls came. Alisa and Todd weren't able to come and stay over, so they came down for the day on Saturday. We all headed down to the land Friday night after work and we all got there in time for dinner.
After dinner Trent started goofing off and he was showing us his sexy legs. We were so honored to see those sexy legs. That night we just ate dinner and just visited for awhile before it was time for bed. We didn't want to be outside for too long for fear that bugs would eat us to death. that night Trent slept in the shed with us. Trent and Tye were wrestling and messing up each others beds. It was great, we were all laughing.

The next day the boys decided they wanted to go and paintball. So they all got geared up and headed off on their way to play with the paintball guns. Michael was all geared up and ready to go.

While the boys went off and played paintball - the girls stayed and did crafts with the kids. Taytum didn't want to do the crafts, she was too busy sitting there eating cheese and crackers.

But the other kids had fun doing the crafts. The kids were painting and making their own creations. They were painting those stackable dolls, nutcrackers, ornaments and all sort of other little things. Alli and Courtney were so involved in painting they had no idea we were even taking pictures.

Since everyone was off doing their own thing, dad decided it was a good time to lay back, relax and take a nap in his new chair we got him for fathers day.

After they boys came back from the paintball game, some of us sat around and played games. there is nothing better then sitting around camping and playing games.

While some of us were playing games, Alisa decided to ride around the land on the Jazzie. It is so funny to me, she didn't want to ride the 4-wheelers so she decided to ride the Jazzie. While she was riding the Jazzie Josh and Matthew were chasing her around wanting to get on with her and go for a ride.

While we were all playing games we looked over and here comes Holly wearing the hat that she made while making crafts. She looks so cute in her little itty, bitty hat.

After a long day of playing games, doing crafts and being in the sun we all sat around and enjoyed the cooler weather. Alisa and Todd were just sitting out in the swing feeding Sam. We were all just relaxing and taking in the beauty of the land.

Mom and Josh just hanging out. I am sure Josh was trying to bribe some sort of treat out of mom. Josh loves to eat junk food and what better person to go to than Grandma who is such a sucker and gives in every time. :)

Mom and dad bought a new purchase before we went camping. They thought it would be fun to get a projector so that we can all sit out and watch movies outside like at a drive in theater. So that night we decided to all sit out and watch a movie on the big screen. Here we have the boys setting up the screen and the projector so that we could watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The edited Version of course. It was really fun!!

The kids had so much fun doing crafts that they wanted to keep doing them. The last day that we were there they were doing crafts right up until it was time to go home.

Josh wanted to do crafts like the big kids, so I was helping him make necklaces and key chains. He thought it was so fun! He was such a big boy just like the other kids.

It was a fun weekend and of course it went by way to fast. Surprisingly it was pretty cold. Usually over the 4th the land is really, really hot. But this time we lucked out and it was cold enough for us to wear sweatshirts. We had a good time and we are looking forward to the next camping trip!!
