Easter Party

Every year we like to have a party for the kids on one of the holidays. This year we decided to have an Easter party for the kids. We were going to have our little party outside but the weather would not permit, so we had to make do with having the party indoors. We had all the kids come over to grandma's house for a night of Easter party fun.

We made the kids all stand at the top of the stairs for a picture before we went downstairs to have fun and play our games. There were all so excited to go down and play and so excited to be able to spend time with their favorite cousins.

Tye was playing the typical big brother role to his little brother Matthew. Tye was so good to help Matthew with all the games and just be there as his buddy. Tye is starting to get a little to old for our little parties, but he did come to be with and support his little buddy Matthew.

Even baby Sam came to enjoy our evening of fun. Dad is having fun at our party playing with and spending time with the new grandson Sam.

We had a crazy dinner with the kids. They always think the crazy dinners are fun and like to
order off the menu to see what kind of adventure foods they can come up with. Mom and dad are just finishing up their crazy dinner after the kids had gotten done eating.

We took the kids downstairs to begin our party fun. Since it was raining we had our little Easter egg hunt downstairs in the T.V. room. The kids thought it was fun to have their hunt...they are so silly. Even with all the eggs being out in plain sight as we didn't have a lot of options to hide, they still couldn't find them all. We had to point out alot of the eggs to the kids. If I didn't know any better I would think they were all blonde! :)

We let the kids decorate cupcakes to take home to their families. For whatever reason the kids all like to decorate with frosting . Alli and Courtney were having a good time together decorating. They are such good buds and they love to spend time together.

Here we have the other 2 best buds Katelyn and Holly. They are making some beautiful fun cupcakes to take home.

We played another fun game called the Jellybean guess game. I would take around a flavored jellybean to each of the kids and they each had to close their eyes and eat the jelly bean. They would then have to write on a piece of paper the flavor of the jelly bean. It was kinda funny how crazy some of their answers were. Some of their answers we not even close at all. But they sure did have fun. I mean who doesn't have fun eating candy?

We also played pin the nose on the rabbit. We couldn't find a pin the nose on the rabbit game so Michael made one for us. It turned out even better than one you could buy. Here I am helping little Josh pin his nose to the rabbit.

Josh was really intrigued by the game we played next. It was an egg roll game, you had to push or roll a hard boiled egg across the room with your nose. Josh though Holly and Katelyn were so funny to watch, he wanted to get down there with them and push an egg across the room. The kids all thought it was so funny. They would get laughing so hard they couldn't move the egg. At one point we had to stop the game because Holly got laughing so hard she almost wet her pants. They just have too much fun when they get together.

Alli and Courtney are playing the next game of carrying a hard boiled egg across the room on a spoon. They had to put the spoon in their mouth and carry the egg across the room and back without dropping the egg. They would get going really good and then at the last minute they would drop the egg and have to start over. Good thing they were hard boiled eggs and not raw eggs. We would have had a huge mess.

And of course every party has to have a pinata. Michael was one brave sole to stand there and hold it while the kids would whack at it. Matthew is getting ready to start whacking the tractor pinata. They were all so excited to see what kind of treats were inside for them.

Jeff is helping Josh hit the pinata, but Josh didn't want to hit it. He wanted to have us put the pinata down so he could play with the tractor . He could have cared less about what was inside, he wanted to push and drive the tractor around.

The kids finally broke the pinata and they all jumped down to grab all the goods. It is funny how they each have their favorite kind of thing that they want. We had put some corn nuts in there one for each kid. Man when that thing broke Alli was all over it and took every last one, but that was ok with everyone because they all had their favorite. Holly and Kate wanted the jewelry and lip gloss and Courtney wanted all the fingernail polishes and shampoos. The boys went for the toys so it worked out for everyone.

They all had so much fun and went home with bucketfuls of stuff. Now they are just asking when do we have the next party. They all love to have parties and hang out with each other. It was a fun night!
